Congratulations to Brendan Scott and everyone involved in the creation of a new International Law Review for Free and Open Source Software.
There was a soft launch last Wednesday ahead of the formal event in London next Wednesday. Brendan blogged about it, which is how it came to my attention. Brendan makes the point that prior to this initiative, free and open source issues were often buried in law journals that are country specific and general in nature, and therefore harder to find (not to mention inappropriately licensed).
If you want to get an idea of the values and objectives of the review, the editorial committee have made it easy with a foreword and statement of purpose that serves as a concise introduction, by Iain G Mitchell QC. There is also a pdf version.
