Fingers crossed for 13th licence

As a Western Sydney team secured the 12th A-League licence, Senator for the ACT Kate Lundy has her fingers crossed that Canberra could yet be the 13th licence.

Senator Lundy said “It was encouraging to hear from Football Federation Australia chief executive Ben Buckley that they think Canberra is the right choice for the next A-League licence, that the FFA do want to expand beyond 12 teams and that Canberra is the obvious choice for a licence.”

“I know it is a disappointing result, however Canberra needs to remain positive about the announcement and keep our heads up high. Above all we need to place our energy into continuing to support the brilliant efforts of ALeague4Canberra.”
