Kate Lundy, Senator for the ACT, will officially open the redeveloped Eddison Park in Woden today, which will add life and colour into the heart of Canberra.
Senator Lundy will open the new Youth Recreation Facility in conjunction with the Woden Valley Community Festival in the Canberra suburb which is geographically the heart of Canberra.
“The Eddison Park Youth Facility is a modern, interactive and multi-use space that provides a safe, fun and healthy outlet for Canberra’s young people,” Senator Lundy said.
The Recreation Facility combines art, music and interactive features to bring a unique feel to the spaces.
The ACT Government received an initial allocation of $2 million for local infrastructure projects from the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program which was split between the Eddison Park redevelopment and the construction of a purpose-built performance stage and shading for the children’s play area in Glebe Park.
