New facilities for Charnwood-Dunlop Primary officially opened today

Senator for the ACT, Kate Lundy today officially opened the new and upgraded facilities at Charnwood-Dunlop School in the ACT as part of the Labor Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).

Charnwood-Dunlop School received $2.125 million in Commonwealth funding under the BER for the construction of a new multi-purpose building and upgrade to the front entry of the school.

Building the Education Revolution is a key element of the Federal Labor Government’s $42 billion Nation Building – Economic Stimulus Plan to support jobs, stimulate local economies and invest in important infrastructure for the long-term.

Senator Lundy congratulated Charnwood-Dunlop School on their new and upgraded facilities and spoke of the benefit to both the school and local community.

“It has been fantastic to see local principals, parents and tradespeople working together to deliver this important project. The success of this project is a credit to the work done by the school community and the ACT Government,” Senator Lundy said.

The National School Pride (NSP) element has delivered more than $19 million funding to 126 ACT schools for minor infrastructure and refurbishment.

The Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) element has delivered approximately $221 million funding to 126 ACT schools for major new infrastructure.
