Political Donations

On ABC Local RadioTriple 6's Friday Morning political panel, there has been a discussion about declaring political donations.

I haven't received any personal donations to fund my election campaign, so I have no donations to declare.

The ACT ALP Branch receives some donations to help fund Labor's election campaigns in the ACT, including the Assembly election campaign.

You can find all the donations the ACT ALP has received from 1999/2000 to 2005/2006 by clicking on the following link to the Australian Electoral Commission Website and click on 'annual returns', then 'search' on ALP ACT Branch OR click through to candidate returns, selecting Australian Labor Party - ACT Branch.

Donations received in the 2006/2007 financial year will not be released until February 2008.

Please note that although the Howard Government passed legislation lifting the disclosure threshold to $10,000, the ACT ALP declares donations it receives over $1,500.
